Season Slideshow and Reminders!
LionsGate Swimmers and Families,
We would like to thank the LionsGate families for another fantastic swim season filled with learning, growth, friendship, and fun! It truly was our best season yet!
We also extend a HUGE thank you to our LionsGate Swim Team Board and Committee members. Each of them plays a critical role in making our season a success, and they consistently go above and beyond for this team.
Board Members: Caroline Howard, Mark Meisner, and Manasi Sharma
Committee Members: Beth Prittie, Betsy Reynolds, Andy Schlie, Kristen Rybnick, and Julie Hess
We also want to thank all of our families for your generosity with our end-of-season gift. We truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and support!
As another wonderful season comes to a close, we'd like to share our end-of-season slideshow, along with a few reminders.END OF SEASON SLIDESHOW!
1. Pictures
Remember to download any pictures from our website before next season! All pictures have been uploaded to the site and are free for you to keep. https://lglions.swimtopia.com/pictures You will need to login to gain access.
2. 15–18 Age Group Policies
Our current 15-18 age group policies regarding registration fees and volunteer shift requirements will remain the SAME for the 2027 season. This policy has proven effective in helping recruit and retain swimmers in the 15–18 age group. Strong participation from our older swimmers is essential for meet success, especially for relays.
Note: Registration fees will continue to be reviewed annually by the Board and may change in future years.
Reminder of Policy:
- Registration Fees:
- $60 per swimmer for those aged 15–18
- $30 for “Iron Lions” — swimmers entering their 9th season (not necessarily consecutive)
- Out-of-neighborhood swimmers will still be subject to the standard out-of-neighborhood fee
- Volunteer Requirements:
- Families only registering a 15–18 swimmer will have no volunteer requirement
- Families with both a 15–18 swimmer and a younger swimmer will have their volunteer requirement reduced by one shift per 15–18 swimmer
- Example: A family with a 12-year-old and a 15-year-old would have only 2 volunteer shifts required
3. Junior Coaches
Know any young aspiring LionsGate coaches? Encourage them to reach out to be a Junior Coach! Junior Coaches are Junior/Senior high school swimmers committed to swimming for the team. In addition to swimming, they will assist in a leadership capacity—helping during practices, meets, and Champs—with the goal of preparing them for a future coaching role. It is a great resume builder! Junior coaches would need to be approved by the Board and coaches.
Thank you for your continued support of the LionsGate Lions Swim Team! We hope to see all of your swimmers' smiling faces back on the pool deck next year! We’re already looking forward to another amazing season in 2027. Look for registration information in March!
LionsGate Swim Team Co-Managers,
Anne Dummitt and Erika Showalter
